There is something for everyone as our hotel comes alive during the School Holidays!

With our action-packed Winter School Holiday Activity Schedule, the kids will have plenty to keep them busy and excited throughout your stay.

Experience fun indoor and outdoor activities from face-painting to magic shows, to cookie decorating.

Take to the ice at the Blue Mountains Ice Skating Rink, take a ride on the colourful Fairmont Express train, dare to ride the giant rainbow slide or have the children enjoy a creative craft session.

Take your children outdoors to explore the gardens and lakes, even challenge them with the outdoor hedge maze!

Create special family memories in the cool, winter mountain air of the Fairmont Resort.

Step back in time on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th July, for a toe-tapping celebration of the 60s on ice. Starring national and state representative skaters, this family-friendly performance brings together classic jukebox vibes, retro costumes and dazzling figure skating at the picturesque Blue Mountains Ice Skating Rink.

NSW Great Walks

Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains

Experience the NSW Great Walks from Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains, ideally located beside the UNESCO World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park. Fairmont Resort is the perfect base for exploring the Grand Cliff Top Walk, one of the signature NSW Great Walks, known for dramatic escarpments, waterfalls and panoramic valley views.

The Grand Cliff Top Walk is a 19 km, two day hike linking Wentworth Falls, Leura and Katoomba. Designed for both experienced and entry level walkers, the trail allows flexibility with shorter sections, making it easy to tailor your hiking experience while still enjoying the best of the Blue Mountains.

When is the best time to walk the NSW Great Walks in the Blue Mountains?
The Blue Mountains can be walked year‑round, with autumn and spring offering mild temperatures and clear views. Winter is ideal for cooler hiking conditions, while summer walks are best started early in the day.

Do I need special equipment to walk the Grand Cliff Top Walk?
Hikers should wear sturdy walking shoes, carry water, sun protection and weather appropriate clothing. As this is a well marked track near townships, no specialist hiking equipment is required for most walkers.

Can I combine a Blue Mountains walk with a relaxing resort stay?
