Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains - Luxury hotel - Best Cafés in Town

Best Cafés in Town

In addition to our Sublime Lounge, the local villages surrounding Fairmont Resort have many delightful Cafés and eateries. Many of these hidden treasures are held close to local hearts, but we’ll let you in on the secret! See below our staff picks of the best cafés in town (in no particular order):

Big Beet, Katoomba. Friendly service, fresh organic juices, great coffee and a bright eclectic space. For a caffeine free delight try the banana bomber fruit smoothie.

Synonymous, Medlow Bath. Sister to the well-known Anonymous Cafe in Blackheath. Great for breakfast or lunch, we recommend their coconut and quinoa bircher with your favourite coffee.

Red Door, Leura. Excellent service, excellent coffee and pet friendly! We recommend a cappuccino with their French toast.

Il Postino, Wentworth Falls. Great for fresh breakfast and friendly service. Also has outdoor seating. We recommend the pesto mushrooms with poached eggs with a flat white.

Aunty Jack’s, Katoomba. A new addition to Katoomba Street with a quirky yet homely atmosphere. We recommend a spider or shake to take you back to your childhood.

Gingerbread House, Katoomba. Great for families with an outdoor play area, lolly shop and locally sourced healthy lunch options. Try their homemade soups with Hominy Bakery sourdough.

Megalong Valley Tea Rooms, Megalong Valley. A beautiful country setting with views and a lovely menu. We recommend a matcha green tea latte with their vegan friendly vegetable hash.

Cheesesteak Factory, Lawson. Authentic Philadelphia cheesesteaks for a more substantial meal. We recommend the classic cheesesteak with loaded fries.

Wisteria Place, Leura. A cute little cottage with open fireplace and friendly staff. Great for a warming coffee, lunch or dinner.
