My husband and i had the pleasure of being married at the Fairmont Hotel after we fell in love with the blue mountains. My husband proposed to me there a year earlier and we decided the Fairmont would be such a beautiful place to have our wedding. Shortly after, we attended a wedding expo at the Fairmont where everyone was so welcoming and helpful that we booked our wedding date that day after meeting our event organiser Kelly Rein. From the start Kelly was so well organised and continually went out of her way to ensure we would have the perfect wedding day…..she was even there to hold the train of my wedding dress before the long walk around the lake to the ceremony. We also met our lovely celebrant Tina McCormack who is such a kind and gentle person and knew straight away the kind of ceremony we wanted which was perfect. We also met my hairdresser Kelly from Euphoria in Leura at the expo who i couldn’t of been happier with, our florist Pam from Fine Flowers in Katoomba who did a wonderful job and actually creates all the flower arrangements for the Fairmont Hotel. It was so convenient that our event organiser, florist, celebrant, hairdresser and photographer all knew each other and have all worked together many times. Our photographer Keith Maxwell and his A Shot Above business is one of a kind. We knew from the moment we met him that he had such passion for what he does and made it clear our day was all about telling a story and ensured that he would be in the background capturing every special moment. We are planning to come back to celebrate our 1 year anniversary since the Fairmont Hotel holds such a special place in our heart.

Many thanks,

Hi Kelly,

We hope you are well.

We are back to reality now so I thought I would get in touch with you.

Firstly, we would like to say a massive thank you to you for all that you did for us during the preparation/organising and also on the day. You made getting married 2 1/2 hours from home no stress at all. Your organisational skills, your experience and your beautiful calm personality are only a few of the amazing qualities you have. We knew that our big day would be absolutely amazing with you in charge :). You are a great asset to the Fairmont Resort. We can honestly say our day was absolutely perfect even with the weather blessing us with rain :)

Secondly, Sarah (I hope that is her name) was great and her staff were quite attentive to our guest needs when out on the floor.

Well, we hope you are well and look forward to coming up to the Fairmont again. All our guests had a fantastic time and thought the resort was the perfect location for our beautiful wedding. We are sorry we didn't get to say good bye to you on the night and thank you in person.

Thanks again

Amy & Matt Frendo x
